Hey there.
Before we start - a tune to set the mood The 59th Street Bridge Song
And what was its message?
Slow Down!
I repeat
Slow Down!
Make deliberate, conscious efforts to slow yourself down by relaxing your mind.
Take a little more time to enjoy your life here on this planet:
Be more contemplative
by noticing the stars,
the clouds,
the rivers,
the animals,
the rainstorms,
and all of the natural world.
And then extend the same slowed-down energy to all people.
Begin with your family...
Go for a walk with your most cherished loved one and say how much you treasure him or her in your life.
This is an excerpt from "Being in Balance"
Why me, why now?
Someone once payed me the complement of asking if I was a student of Wayne Dyer
I had no idea who he was until
I read up his Wikipaedia entry and found what a huge compliment to me that was.
Today I was sent this excerpt from his new book - Being In Balance
I share it today with you to reflect on, because
YOU ARE SO WORTH IT!

Lets Choose To Live Inspired
YES, YES, YES, YES, YES
Let's choose to live inspired
Let me Repeat
Let's choose to live inspired
One of my Market America friends - Ted Orr - shared this poem with me yesterday
It's by Michelle Sedas and goes:
In the darkness, late last night I had a remarkable dream
There I was, walking around town, when I discovered a recurring theme
I noticed that the sky was gray, the landscape lacked all color
Here the days were exactly alike, just one after another .... after another
I saw many of my family and friends, in their faces the same looks I found
Lackluster, melancholy, vacant eyes
And they all stared at the ground.
When I awoke I ran outside and lifted my head to the skies
Thankful to live in a World where vivid colors flood my eyes
A place where life has purpose and meaning, and tiny miracles are all around
A world where true, rich friendships - are just waiting to be found.
So today I've awakened to the idea, that in my life I am free
To become the person deep inside that I was always meant to be
For I will not sit idly by, and let my life just happen
I CHOOSE to live my life on purpose, I choose to live with PASSION
I will LAUGH and I will LOVE
and sing and dance and play
And ENJOY all the blessings that come, with the dawning of each day
Yes, here I am. Here I stand, stating my heart's true desire
INSTEAD OF MERELY LIVING - I WILL CHOOSE TO LIVE INSPIRED.
---
Have you ever felt that so many are living in Michelle's dream
And yet they could be seizing THEIR days
EVERY DAY!
So my prayer for us all today:
Let's add color to as many lives as possible
Choose
Laugh
Love
Enjoy
live
Be inspired
AND MORE IMPORTANTLY - BE AN INSPIRATION
YOU ARE SO WORTH IT!

Spirituality Sunday - Nine Techniques To Restore One To The Beauty Way
This is a textual version of components from the September 13 Spirituality Sunday broadcast. The full show is archived for your listening pleasure at http://www.blogtalkradio.com/PeterPocklington
ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE
Thank you to the people of the Pocono Mountain region of Pennsylvania, who accepted my wife and I so graciously as we traveled through their region recently. Oh boy is it a good thing to not be in touch via the internet, to not be in touch via cell phone. Instead to be in touch with a much greater force. The spiritual force. The force of the mountains. The force of the streams. The force of the woods. The force of the valleys. Thank you to the people who live there and gave of their internal beauty as a complement to their surroundings.
NINE TECHNIQUES TO RESTORE ONE TO THE BEAUTY WAY
This was from a book that I picked up as I was visiting the Museum Of The Lenape Indian. Wisdom that comes from a different culture, a different time. But still, as all wisdom, is so relevant today.
What are the nine techniques?
First: Dedicate your sleep to gain knowledge. Dreams can reveal a great deal about what troubles you.
Second: Close your eyes and you see better and hear better.
Third: Ceremonies can remove obstructions. And ceremonies do not have to be elaborate. Something as simple as taking time each morning to feel the dawn.
Fourth: Rise before sunrise and bathe in the coolness. It will help wash badness away and you'll be able to handle any situation.
Fifth: Smile about the problems you receive, they build muscle. Serendipity is around every corner and life detour.
Sixth: What's important is not what happened but to rebuild.
Seventh: Life is great. Life is good, especially when you share it with someone.
Eighth: Teach all the time and learn all the time.
Ninth: The final technique to restore one to the beauty way is prayer. When you pray long enough you will find short cuts to the best path to take.
So let's think about each of these some more:
1. Dedicate your sleep to gain knowledge.
Dreams can reveal a great deal about what troubles you. Two of the most acknowledged self-help books are "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill and "The Power Of The Subconscious Mind" by Dr. Joseph Murphy. A less often quoted but, I have found, equally powerful book is by Florence Shinn "The Game Of Life And How To Play It". All of these pay great attention to our self-talk and what is going on in our minds while we sleep.
How often have you gone to bed with a problem on your mind and woken up with a potential way forward, a potential solution?
Do you pray before sleeping? Think about the wisdom of the ancients.
2. Close your eyes and you see better and hear better
Stand beside the ocean and close your eyes. Instead of your senses taking in the visuals and being directed to them, listen. There is so much to hear when you are being still.
When I walk in the woods on a path by a stream I close my eyes. I can hear the water talking. It tells me whether the stream is full of water from the rains of yesterday or waiting for water from the rains of tomorrow.
But using the closing of your eyes to see better. I thought - come on!
Until I thought of the power of visualization. What you think about you bring about. Can it be that by closing my eyes I can see the future? Think about it.
3. Ceremonies can remove obstructions
Ceremonies do not have to be elaborate. Something as simple as taking time each morning to feel the dawn.
Think about ceremonies. There is a song that goes "we all need somebody to lean on". So it is with the familiar. Is a ceremony not something that is repeated so many times over that it becomes familiar. It becomes a rock.
What were your ceremonies growing up?
The family meal?
The coaches pep-talk before a sports event?
The kneeling down to pray before sleep?
What are your ceremonies now?
4. Rise before sunrise and bathe in the coolness
It will help wash badness away and you'll be able to handle any situation.
Another song - I personally love the Emmylou Harris version, she has the voice of an angel - speaks to "The darkest hour is just before dawn". What do I hear so often today? "I don't have time". When did I find time? At the front end of the day.
5. Smile about the problems you receive, they build muscle
Serendipity is around every corner and life detour.
Think about this. Did you know how to walk the day you were born? But when it became a means to an end you solved the problem, rose to your full height, fell forward a few times and suddenly the problem was there no longer.
As soon as you view problems as a blessing the solutions will start to appear. Our Native American forebears knew this!
6. What's important is not what happened but to rebuild
What has happened is in the past. We cannot ever go back and change it. It is what it is.
So why not let go. Learn. Re-group if necessary. And move forward.
The future is what we make of today - not how we live in yesterday.
7. Life is great
Life is good, especially when you share it with someone.
OK! What are the choices?
8. Teach all the time and learn all the time
The phrase "you cannot lead where you will not go - you cannot teach what you do not know" springs to my mind.
By focusing on getting the ability to teach we focus on gaining an understanding AND an ability to communicate. It demands of us a desire for learning.
Another song that springs to mind is "Teach Your Children Well" by Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young. Or how about "What Did You Learn In School Today" by Pete Seeger or Tom Paxton.
9. Prayer
The final technique to restore one to the beauty way is prayer. When you pray long enough you will find short cuts to the best path to take.
Again I point you to the source of these Nine techniques - Native American wisdom.
I point you to the works of Napoleon Hill, Joseph Murphy, Florence Shinn.
Today - the enormously popular - "The Secret".
All pay homage to the most powerful life force of all - Prayer.
May I always turn to the power of a prayer of thanks, because I know that a greater force than I knows what I am being prepared for.
And who am I?
I am Peter Pocklington

Business Growth Friday - Is Your Intrnet Site Asking The Right Questions?
This is a textual version of components from the September 11 Business Growth Friday broadcast. The full show is archived for your listening pleasure at http://www.blogtalkradio.com/PeterPocklington
ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE
Since today's program is originally broadcasting on September 11, 2009 - an anniversary of the attack on the World Trade Center in New York, when so many innocent citizens of so many countries lost their lives - I would like as my thank you to them and those who follow the example of the brave emergency rescue teams who respond daily by risking their lives for the lives of others, to offer a prayer of remembrance for all who have been taken from us too soon.
They grow not old, as we that are left grow old
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn
At the going down of the sun - and in the morning
WE WILL REMEMBER THEM.
With regard to the subject of today's show, using your internet presence to elicit the response you are looking for most from your customer, a YES YES YES YES YES,
I thank my team of mentors
Thank You to Kendall Summerhawk - my first marketing mentor whose "it's not about you it's about them" maxim serves as a continuous reminder to me.
Thank You to Diane Hochman - the marketing matriarch of the Million Mind March whose reality-based, can-do, common sense wisdom applied to marketing is empowering me and countless others.
Thank You to Kristen Darkenwald - whose free social media rescue package has served me and the communities I serve in so many ways.
Thank You to David Moskowitz - whose examples of client service so benefited my approach to my business internet clients.
And thank you to the team of development and support staff back at the ranch who work tirelessly to ensure we provide service to our customers by listening to needs and anticipating wants - true to the mantra "How may I impress you today?"
IS YOUR WEB SITE ASKING THE RIGHT QUESTIONS?
In our July 31st program - "Take Your Web Page From Whoa! To Wow!" we provided 7 tips that will significantly enhance your web presence's appeal to the customer. Sort of like walking into a store and being greeted by someone who has a heartfelt smile and is truly on a mission to help you get what you need - as opposed to what they want you to buy. Remember always - it's not about you and who you are, it's about them and how you can benefit them.
So let's think first about what you might be wanting your website to ask your customer. If you ask the right questions you'll get the answer you want most - YES, I want to do business with you.
You have to engage your visitor from the moment they arrive at your home page - or any page that you or Google has directed them to. How do you do that? By asking questions.
The best questions follow three basic rules:
1: They spell out a problem that your ideal client will have faced (for which you have an answer, of course)
2: They will elicit a "YES" answer from your ideal client
3: They use the words "you" and "your"
For example, someone providing coaching services to other consultants might ask "are you uncomfortable selling your services?" Or "do you love what you do but have a hard time describing the benefits?".
A home-business mentorship site might ask "are you getting the support you need from your mentor?" Or "Have you ever wished your cold leads were hot prospects?"
A business financing site might ask "is your client's payment schedule affecting your cash flow?"
So - how do you come up with your own questions?
* Think like your ideal client, and
* Ask yourself what you - as your ideal client - are probably struggling with, or thinking a lot about, right now!
When you have an idea of these just think of the phrases "If you are ... " or "Are you ..." and they will jump start the identification of your questioning questions.
YOUR WEB PAGE COPY
Now let's consider your web page copy. Consider the following six step process
1. Craft your attention-getting headline.
2. Briefly describe the problem.
3. Give a solution.
4. Introduce how your product or service can help.
5. Establish credibility.
6. Provide a clear call to action.
For the attention-getting headline we suggest a problem-oriented strategy such as
Executives: Uncover the strongest resource you have - currently hiding in your balance sheet
Why is this effective? It names your audience and hints that the resource they need to access is already theirs.
Regarding the description of the problem:
This is important because symptoms sell. Just go to your local drugstore's colds and flu aisle and see the medications for a condition that has no cure.
In no more than a couple of sentences you can elicit the "yes - that's me" response. You can show that you understand their situation. If you can't - then why should they do business with you?.
Then - give a solution. However, don't toot your own horn. Resist all temptation to. Give an example of how the problem is being solved using the same type of service or product you are making available to them.
Now you can simply introduce you and your company. This should be short and sweet. Something as simple as "That's where we come in".
Here's where you can establish your credibility - again in a couple of sentences.
To use an example from our Real Estate Business - "We've partnered with the industry's top marketers of lot and home packages - who will put their specialized digital convergence marketing techniques to work for you - quickly getting you the full price you are asking for." By the way, it's better to talk about results here than to talk about how great you think you are.
Finally, have a clear call to action. YOU MUST HAVE ONE.
How do you decide what? Think about it. Your goal is to make the action virtually risk free to them - in terms of time or in terms of money - AND by offering something of value.
Oh, and don't worry about whether you got your offer "right" the first time. It's the internet. Whatever you decide you can change your mind!
So there we have it. Just follow these few simple steps and take the focus off you and put it where it belongs - on the person who is your ideal client and with whom your web presence is communicating.
And who is communicating this information to you?
I am Peter Pocklington
I am a Good News Merchant
I am a purveyor of prosperity, and

ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE
On this day of alignment - the ninth day of the ninth month of the ninth year of the century - a thank you to chiropractors everywhere.
For me especially a thank you to Dr. Chris Grenshaw, the chiropractor who literally saved my life when I was six months old and not breathing.
Thank you to my current chiropractor, Dr. Andrew Gottlieb of Eagle Chiropractic in Lionville, Pennsylvania - who, together with his wife Dr. Cynthia Glendenning, continuously further my own wellness education.
OUR INTERCONNECTED INTERNALS
Do you remember the song about the interconnectedness of the skeletal structure? From the head bone connected to the neck bone, to the ankle bone connected to the foot bone.... So it is with your internal body systems.
There are no fences in your body. Each organ system is interconnected by way of your blood. Let's consider the colon, the small intestine, the liver, the lymphatic system and the circulatory system. Did you realize that the health of your circulatory system can be affected by the health of your colon and small intestine? Because by way of the blood each system affects the other. The lymphatic system is part of your immune system and that can be affected by toxic, dirty blood. We should learn more about how these systems are inter-connected and how important it is to keep them cleansed.
So let's take a journey together, starting at the mouth and going all the way to the other end - the terminus of the digestive system. If you could straighten out your digestive system and shine a light down your mouth the light would shine out of your "other end". So a lot of things need to happen inside the digestive tract.
Firstly, we need to chew our food! Not take a few bites while driving along to work, school or play and then swallow. Your grandmother was right - CHEW YOUR FOOD! Because your saliva is going straight to work to break down your food to assist absorption.
Once you swallow the food goes down the esophageal tract to your stomach - which is a majorly acidic organ charged with liquefying the food you ate. It has hydrochloric acid available - more when you are younger, by the way, which may account partially for an increase in digestive problems for people over 40.
The stomach acid works on the food and liquefies it is a process that can take up to four hours. It turns the food into a liquid state that is isotonic - called "chyme" with a pH level of 2.5. When that state is reached the pyloric valve opens up to let the chyme into your small intestine.
The small intestine performs a vital function in regard to your health. In its 21' length and 1 1/2" diameter are so-called VILLI and MICROVILLI. As the chyme swims in and out of these villi the nutrients in the chyme - the vitamins etc. - are absorbed into the blood system.
Unfortunately, we have a tendency here to be white flour addicts. Now white flour and water make PASTE (think back to your elementary school days!).
Now look at this from the perspective of the VILLI. When these are free-flowing they have about 200 square metres of surface area working to extract nutrition. But when you are "eating paste" all day they get stuck together, reducing the effective absorption area.
The phrase "you are what you eat" would more accurately be "you are what you absorb"! If you eat poorly all day and then eat nutritiously in the evening you may not be absorbing all the nutrition you think you are.
Now to the last stage of your digestion - the large intestine and the colon. Unused food is passed into the colon - which is 5' long and 2 1/2" in diameter. Its job is to eliminate unused food out of the body. It should eliminate waste about two to three times a day. If not the unused food is lying in the 98 degree temperature of our body.
How long do you think it takes for food to begin to rot in these conditions? 24 hours? 48 hours? If this is not happening it will cause problems - through a process called auto-intoxication - the toxic chemicals produced by the colon bacteria and the continuous diffusion of these into the colon wall and ultimately the blood stream. So it causes more problems than just things as divericulitis - it can also affect the heart.
Our love of white flour and toxic food causes our colon to become infected and fill up with old fecal matter that lines the wall of the colon. [I was surprised to hear that when John Wayne died they took over 25 pounds of fecal matter out in his autopsy]
Now this auto-intoxication has more side effects. The blood takes it to the liver - and after years of detoxification our livers can become impaired. Think about the drug advertisements you see - how many of them note you need to be on the look-out for liver problems? Why? Because the liver's job is to filter out anything that is foreign to the body. So auto-intoxication will definitely affect the liver.
If the liver is impaired the next system affected is the lymphatic system. The lymphatic system runs parallel to the circulatory system, but it operates through movement. Which is another reason why we should add a lot of movement into our lives - for a health lymphatic system.
The lymphatic system has two main functions:
Firstly, to protect us from virus infections, bacteria, fungi etc., and
Secondly, to clean up inter-cellular waste products.
When functioning properly the waste is placed into the colon trapped in mucus and expelled from the body. So when your colon and your liver is not functioning properly this waste is dumped elsewhere - in your sinus or in your lungs. So colon cleansing and liver detoxification can help clear up chronic sinus problems. WHO'DA THUNK IT!
Now consider the circulatory system. This is the transport system for your blood. It consists of your heart, arteries and veins. Most people who have problems with high blood pressure, high cholesterol and circulatory disorders have most likely had a problem with digestion, elimination and auto-intoxication.
It is when all your body systems are working properly that you achieve optimal health. When you are better detectives, when you understand the relationships, when you don't wait too long, you won't have to resort to medications and surgery! When we compromise any of our body systems we don't function properly, we don't feel well and we don't achieve the optimal health we deserve.
Hopefully this will help YOU

How is your alignment?
Its a great day to get aligned
I repeat
Its a great day to get aligned
The ninth day of the ninth month of the ninth year in this millennium.
Formal documents will be dated the same way in the US, the UK and Japan.
Chiropractors will be especially effective.
When your wheels are aligned your vehicle
- uses less energy
- has reduced wear on the tyres
- is safer to drive.
Have you checked your alignment lately?
Who can you align yourself with today?
Who would like to align themselves with you?
Whenever two or three are gathered together as one
Looking in the same direction
To achieve the same goals
To support the same mission
To further the same vision
There is power in their midst
My wish for you:
May your cause be worthy of your highest aspirations
and may the alignment you seek enter your life today
Because
YOU ARE SO WORTH IT!

August Wisdom And Understanding - A Thank You
YES, YES, YES, YES, YES
Thank You for all of your wisdom that you have shared with me last month
Whether consciously or subconsciously you have enriched my life.
So let me repeat, Thank You!
In return I wanted to share with you a few pieces that took my thought process higher.
This video http://tonyrobbinstraining.com/320/interview-with-frank-kern-and-john-reese/ was received from the stupendous Shelley Carlisle. Tony Robbins teaching one-one-one next level stuff to the already humungously successful. Amazing.
This webinar http://instantteleseminar.com/?eventid=8790798 led by Diane Hochman came straight from the heart. A timely reminder to those being seduced by the 'money for nothing' message.
The luminescent Lucy DelSarto turned me on the the book "The Slight Edge" by Jeff Olsen. It's truly easy to do and easy to not do. It's the day-to-day things we pay attention to that compound over time.
Again, I want to thank you for your contribution both to my life and that of others who are prospering from your presence in theirs.
I THANK YOU BECAUSE - YOU ARE SO WORTH IT!
